The Costa Rican Adventure

You have probably all heard most of the joyous events that happened while we were in Costa Rica... so I won't bore everyone with the detail. It was absolutely amazing! There were a few events that went off that weren't planned....but overall we had an absolutely amazing time :)

Brenchley Christmas 2009

Its always amazing how quickly Christmas comes around every year. Matt and I were able to go up to my parents house on Christmas Eve to celebrate, eat amazing food, and play games. As tradition is continuing we are still doing our amazing money rolling game... check out the video below. So here are a few pictures from the festivities. :)

And finals are almost over

So I had to put up these pictures of Matt... not to mock him but to more of less show the complete true devotion he has to his studies and also to being a gentleman. :)
We had been studying for 3 days straight for Microbiology and were just about to walk into the building we were to take our final exam in. Well Matt, being the nice gentleman he is, opens the door for his wife... like he ALWAYS does! But this time, he was so preoccupied by reviewing his stuff for microbiology he forgot that there was another door next to the one he had opened for me. (at least that is what he claims) Needless to say he nailed his head on the corner of the door, splitting his eyebrow. Blood was everywhere and all we could do was grab wet paper towels and walk into the test (10min late now) w/ Matt holding the paper towels to his head. It was pretty hilarious in all and made a great story for right before our final. Not to mention in microbiology we have learned 100 times about 'Treating every pt like they have HIV' in other words... don't get around blood w/out proper precautions cuz you might be infected. Sorry professors & students for putting you at risk due to Matthews blond spacey moments.

Happy 30th Matty Poo!!

Unfortunately, the 30th birthday of Matthew Weston Pommerville didn't turn out as great as I would have liked. I have sadly come to the conclusion that I am not a great party planner and surprising my husband is definitely not something I should attempt to do.....ever again. My attempts were thwarted by a crappy hotel in Park city that gave the illusion it was very amazing. Imagine..... an amazing 700sqft room w/ sky lights all above your bed. Sounds pretty good! So of coarse, I jumped and thought.... this is perfect! Well low & behold this place was quite crappy. For example, we tried to take a shower at about 2:00am and the water was cold. It took 20min for the water to warm up before we could shower. We were not very happy.
Okay it really wasn't that bad, but it was not that great either. But the birthday party the next night ended up very fun and lots of good friends were there. What else could you ask for?? Right?

The Face.... can't live with it.... can't live without it.

Halloween 2009

Here are the fabulous pics of Matt & my costumes for Halloween. I was Jasmine & he was Aladdin. I borrowed my costume from a friend, but I actually made Matt's costume. :) I bought white scrubs, fabric & had the vest lieing around. It turned out fantastic!! Lets just say the whole night everyone kept singing... 'A whole new world!' We forgot to bring a carpet to pretend it was 'Carpet' & that we could fly on it. But I have to say I was pretty proud of Matts Aladdin costume.
